Magazine Collage Mixed Media - Zentangle Waves
Zentangle Waves.
As a mixed media artist I'm always thinking about how to combine different mediums to create pieces that reflect my style — and this project was so fun to put together.
I started with some heavy text magazine pages, then used a paper punch to cut out a few stars, drew some wavy lines with a fine liner, and added color using distress ink and finger foam brushes. Then came my favorite part — filling the waves with zentangle patterns and adding more color with neon colored pencils. It's fun, simple, and so satisfying to watch it all come together.
I really hope this one inspires you to play with whatever you have on hand. Sometimes the best pieces come from the simplest ideas. 🎨
